Module:Location map/data/Subantarctic (Indian Ocean) is a location map definition used to overlay markers and labels on an equirectangular projection map of Subantarctic (Indian Ocean). The markers are placed by latitude and longitude coordinates on the default map or a similar map image.

Usage

These definitions are used by the following templates when invoked with parameter "Subantarctic (Indian Ocean)":

• {{Location map|Subantarctic (Indian Ocean) |...}}
• {{Location map many|Subantarctic (Indian Ocean) |...}}
• {{Location map+|Subantarctic (Indian Ocean) |...}}
• {{Location map~|Subantarctic (Indian Ocean) |...}}

Map definition

• name = Subantarctic (Indian Ocean)

  Name used in the default map caption

• image = Subantarctic (Indian Ocean).png

  The default map image, without "Image:" or "File:"

• x = 50 + (100*0.853799)*( cos( $1*0.01745329252 )*sin( ($2-(100))*0.01745329252 ) )*( ((1+sin($1*0.01745329252 )*sin(-50*0.01745329252 ) + cos($1*0.01745329252)*cos(-50*0.01745329252 )*cos( ($2-(100))*0.01745329252))*0.5)^ -0.5)

  An expression to calculate a location on the map via its longitude; evaluates as 0 along the left edge and 100 along the right edge

• y = 33.33333 - (100*0.9696459)*( cos( -50*0.01745329252 )*sin( $1*0.01745329252 ) - sin( -50*0.01745329252 )*cos( $1*0.01745329252 )*cos( ($2-(100))*0.01745329252 ) ) * ( ((1 + sin( $1*0.01745329252 )*sin( -50*0.01745329252 ) + cos( $1*0.01745329252 )*cos( -50*0.01745329252 )*cos( ($2-(100))*0.01745329252 ) ) *0.5)^ -0.5)

  An expression to calculate a location on the map via its latitude; evaluates as 0 along the top edge and 100 along the bottom edge
