Luke Joseph McCarthy (born 7 July 1993) is an English former footballer who played as a midfielder.
He has previously played for Manchester City, Grimsby Town and Bury, Salford City, Airbus UK Broughton and Droylsden.
Playing career
[edit]McCarthy made his debut for Bury on the final day of the club's 2010–11 season coming on as a 92nd-minute substitute against Stevenage.[1]
He signed a new 12-month contract with Bury in June 2011.[2]
On 24 November 2011, he joined Grimsby Town on an initial one-month loan.[3]
In May 2012, he was offered a new contract by Bury.[4] He was released in January 2013.[5] McCarthy went on to play for Salford City, Airbus UK Broughton, Droylsden and Mossley.[6]
