Herpetogramma basalis is a species of moth in the family Crambidae.[1] It is found on the Canary Islands[2] and in Japan,[3] China, Australia,[4] Sri Lanka, India, Indonesia,[1] La Réunion, South Africa,[5] and Mali.[6]
Description
[edit]The wingspan is 20–22 mm.[7] Adults are yellowish with fine black speckles on the wings.
Behaviour and ecology
[edit]The larvae feed on Amaranthus species, Lantana camara, beetroot, cucurbits and radish.[8]
