Gujar Garhi, or Gujjar Ghari (lit. 'town of Gujars'[2]) is a town and a union council in Takht Bhai Tehsil, Mardan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.[3] It is located at 34°14'0N 72°1'0E and has an altitude of 298m (980 feet).
Main ethnic group in "Gujar Garhi" are the Gujjars who are believed to be the oldest inhabitants and came with White Huns to this area.[2]

There are thousands of these Gujars in the upper valleys of Swat, Dir and the Yusufzai Saman of Mardan one of the latter's longest village being called Gujjar Ghari Mardan, literally ' the town of the Gujars'. The original Gujars are believed to have been helots of the White Huns or Epthalites.
