Gastropus, from Ancient Greek γαστήρ (gastḗr), meaning "belly", and πούς (poús), meaning "foot", is a genus of rotifers belonging to the family Gastropodidae.[1][2]

The species of this genus are found in Europe, Australia and Northern America.[1]
