The Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use require that editors disclose their "employer, client, and affiliation" with respect to any paid contribution; see WP:PAID. For advice about reviewing paid contributions, see WP:COIRESPONSE.
Davetcoleman(talk·contribs) has been paid by PickNik Roboticson their behalf. Their editing has included contributions to this article.
I am disclosing a conflict of interest. I am employed by PickNik Robotics, which maintains MoveIt, and I have been paid by my employer for my contributions to this draft.
Separately, per WP:SELFCITE: I am a co-author of one of the cited sources, Coleman et al., "Reducing the Barrier to Entry of Complex Robotic Software: a MoveIt! Case Study", Journal of Software Engineering for Robotics 5(1), 2014. It is cited four times, in every case for descriptive technical detail about the framework's design, and not to establish the subject's significance. The notability case rests on independent sources: Malvido Fresnillo et al. (2023), Kingston and Kavraki (2022), Meijer et al. (2017), Grushko et al. (2020) and Jedrzejczyk et al. (2021). I am flagging the self-citation so other editors can judge whether those four uses are due, and I will not object if they are removed or replaced. Dave (talk) 04:14, 1 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
