Wish Dragon 2 is an upcoming animated film produced by Sony Pictures Animation and Base FX, and released by Netflix. It is the sequel to Wish Dragon (2021). It is being directed by Chris Bremble and written by Chris Appelhans, the latter of whom directed the first film. It is currently aiming for a release in the summer of 2027.
Production
[edit]In an interview with Animation World Network in August 2025, it was revealed that Chris Appelhans was writing a sequel to Wish Dragon.[1] At the 38th Golden Rooster Awards Film Promotion Event, the sequel was announced to be released in summer 2027, with producer Chris Bremble taking over as director.[2]
