History
[edit]The current principal is Christopher Johnson (2017-Present). The school is most likely named after the Geographical Location and the Local flora (Slash Pine). The name is a portmanteau that reflects the two factors. Prior to construction the Westpine plot was a portable elementary school known as Sandpiper Elementary which in 1988 relocated to a permanent location.
