Untitled is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2025. The band plays grunge and 1990s-influenced alternative rock.[1][2]

History

[edit]

Origins

[edit]

The band members, four friends from Culver City High School, began playing together after class in garages and at house parties.[3] Untitled consists of Daniel (Danny) Meza on guitar, Juan Kuschevatzky on electric bass, James Hladek on guitar, and Lorenzo Galvez on drums.[4] Meza is also the band's lead vocalist. The four attended Santa Monica College for a brief stint after high school, and released their first song, "Restless", on November 5, 2025.[2][5] Following the song's breakout success, the band members dropped out to pursue music full time.

2026–present

[edit]

On December 30, 2025, Create Music Group's Jonny Shipes announced via Instagram that Untitled had signed to his record label, GoodTalk.[6] At the same time, "Restless" continued to amass streams on Spotify, and alternative radio stations took notice. The band has been featured a handful of times on KROQ in Los Angeles and BBC Radio 6 Music.[7]

The introductory riff from "Restless" became widely used as a sound on social media. As of September 2026, "Restless" has been used in over 2.4 million videos, which have received 3.2 billion lifetime views on TikTok.[2][8] The band's early success drew Ben Goldstein, manager of The Strokes' Julian Casablancas, to assist informally in a managerial capacity until Untitled found official management.[4] Then, the band signed with Kevin Zinger's Regime Music Group, which took over management in February 2026. Zinger cited the internet as a new medium for artist discovery.[2] Since then, the band has performed at Sublime Fest, toured in the United Kingdom, and supported fellow rock and grunge artists by opening for Suicidal Tendencies and on select legs of Honestav's Sweet American Boy Tour.[9][10]
