Tradeit began as a project to complement the holding company, ZenGaming’s portfolio, which was founded in 2015.[1] ZenGaming started out building a system to host esports tournaments and competitive gaming events. As the company evolved, the exchange of virtual gaming items like this became its main business, leading to the creation and expansion of the Tradeit marketplace. This marketplace would focus on trading, selling and buying skins for CSGO (currently CS2), and later added Rust, TF2, and Dota 2 to its offering.
History
[edit]Tradeit purchased the Lootbear brand from ZenGaming in May 2024. ZenGaming was also a player in the in game item economy. After the acquisition, the communities of the two platforms were merged. The Lootbear skin rental feature was discontinued, and users of that platform were moved to the Tradeit website. Tradeit has since then been integrating deeply into the Esports scene by sponsoring major teams and being an official partner of massive tournaments, like Blast Premier[2].

[edit]Tradeit principally serves as a platform for users to buy, sell, or trade digital game items. Its trade system is fully automated, using trading bots to execute and finalize transactions.

- HLTV: Tradeit is the sponsor of the podcast HLTV Confirmed, which is produced by the Counter Strike news outlet HLTV. Tradeit helps the "Skinionaire" segment as a sponsor.
- FACEIT: Tradeit also teamed up with FACEIT, the competitive gaming platform, by sponsoring their Missions system, and acts as a tournament organizer on FACEIT[6]. Via this feature, players are able to finish in-game challenges to get rewards including tradable skins and marketplace balance.
