Comment: The only usable source for notability is the LA Times article but it does not have much outside of what he says about himself so weak. All the others are either primary sources and/or not independent. (Side note - the article was deleted back in 2019 due to not meeting a notability via this discussion). Tom Ferry is an American real estate coach, motivational speaker, and author known for coaching and training aimed at residential real estate professionals. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Ferry International (also referred to as Tom Ferry International), a coaching and training company.[1][2]
Early life and career
[edit]Ferry is the son of motivational speaker and real estate coach Mike Ferry. According to a 2010 profile in the Los Angeles Times (Daily Pilot), he served as president of his father's company for five years before leaving around 2003 to work independently as a coach and speaker.[3] The same profile stated that Ferry lived in Corona del Mar, California, with his wife, Kathy, and their sons, and that he had grown up in the Newport Harbor area.[3]
Ferry International
[edit]According to the Real Estate Almanac, Ferry is founder and CEO of Tom Ferry International, a real estate coaching company launched in 2004 and associated with Santa Ana, California.[1] HousingWire's company profile lists the firm's website as tomferry.com and lists Dallas, Texas, as a headquarters location.[2] Inc. has listed the company on the Inc. 5000 ranking of fast-growing private companies in multiple years during the 2010s.[4] Industry trade publications have covered Ferry's commentary on real estate sales and coaching topics. For example, Inman published an interview featuring Ferry discussing agent strategy after the National Association of Realtors settlement changes in 2024.[5]
Books
[edit]In 2010, Ballantine Books / Random House published Ferry's book Life! By Design: 6 Steps to an Extraordinary You, written with Laura Morton.[6][3] The Los Angeles Times Daily Pilot covered the book's then-upcoming release and Ferry's coaching work.[3] In 2017, Ferry published Mindset, Model and Marketing!: The Proven Strategies to Transform and Grow Your Real Estate Business.[7]

By Design as a New York Times bestseller.[2] The Real Estate Almanac publishes Swanepoel Power 200 executive rankings that include Ferry among industry leaders.[1]
