Comment: Don't see how a list like this could be notable, especially as there is no other list (covering theatre releases) in the wiki. There doesn't seem to be any article like this for major blockbusters or independent films, meaning I'm not sure how a list of theatre releases for the web-series could exist currently. Comment: As there is a page Battle for Dream Island in the main spec, does it need an extra page for the theater release? Better, it can be merged with it as a section. GreenRedFlag (talk) 10:35, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
Comment: There is notability for an independent article. Why don't we take this to the talk page and discuss this matter further more there? Wikiman (talk) 3:13, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Battle for Dream Island is an American animated web series created by twin brothers Cary and Michael Huang. In late 2025, a partnership with specific theatre chains was announced, in which specific episodes from the show would premiere at theatres a day before their YouTube release.
Background
[edit]Several screenings were held prior via watch parties that are often titled as the BFDI x II Tours, with the first being held in 2019, and a proper tour being held in 2024.[1] The events are organized by both the creators of Inanimate Insanity and Battle for Dream Island.[2]
The watch parties have been screened in cities across the United States, with examples being such as Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City.[3][4] In late 2025, it was announced that Jacknjellify partnered with AMC Theatres, alongside Cinemark, and Marcus Theatres to premiere an episode in theatres, which often sold out quickly.[5] After the success of the screening of the episode, many more episodes soon followed.[6]

[edit]The announcement for the episode was made in late 2025 following a partnership with AMC.[5] The episode was screened in select AMC, Cinemark and Marcus theatres across the United States on October 16, 2025.[10] The episode was then released to YouTube on the next day. Several screenings were sold out in theatres, and the episode had one million views within nine hours of the upload.[7][11][5]

Shattered!
[edit]A trailer for the episode was released in November 2025, and this episode premiered in select Marcus and Cinemark theatres across the United States on December 1, 2025.[8] The episode was then released to YouTube on the next day, and a comic book was released alongside on Black Friday.[12]

- group notability: sources must discuss the items in the list as a whole, rather than just verifying that the individual items exist;
- encyclopedic purpose: avoid cross-categorisations, such as "List of X of Y", unless sources explicitly discuss this intersection as a distinct subject;
- Selection criteria: an unambiguous, objective definition of what is included to distinguish the list from a directory.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If no such sources exist, the list is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
