The Waiting Man is a 2026 independent found-footage horror film written and directed by Carl Sundström, and co-written by Nathaniel Pellikka Erlandsson. In a pseudo-documentary format. The film is about a group of streamers who mysteriously disappear.

Production
[edit]Filmmaker and photographer Carl Sundström started doing documentary-inspired horror narratives in 2019. In a statement he said:
The found footage genre has always thrived on reinvention. Every few years, a film emerges that doesn’t just participate in the genre, it redefines how audiences experience fear through it. The Waiting Man is built on that exact philosophy.[1]
The film was produced by Spying Moth Entertainment and NPE Productions.
Release
[edit]The film was premiered at PUFA film festival on July 9, 2026,[2] Horror Fest Film Festival on September 24-27, 2026,[3] and at Toronto Indie Horror Fest on October 8, 2026.[4][5]
