Sijo Mathew Jacob is a music composer and medical social worker from the state of Kerala in India. He is also a music composer who has independently created music compositions in the languages of Malayalam and Tamil.
Music career
He launched an album in Tamil language called "Uthirapookal" that received attention on social media because of one song called "Kanavukal Thirumbum." In February 2019, his album was reviewed in the Malayalam newspaper, Deepika.
Jacob composed "Thirinalam," a tribute song dedicated to healthcare professionals, which was published on YouTube in January 2021 and was a commemoration of the first-year anniversary of the first documented case of coronavirus in Kerala. The lyrics for the song were penned by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma, and the song was sung by Afsal and Swetha Ashok, the playback singers. About 20 healthcare professionals consisting of doctors, nurses, and paramedics participated in the music video. According to The Hindu, the concept behind the song came about as a suggestion from his peers.
Jacob has also been a guest in the talk show on Kappa TV titled Prime Time.
