[edit]

Before joining Persepolis, Setia Khodaei was active in the Setaregan Ardalan Women's Football Academy. The academy, founded by Niloofar Ardalan, former captain of the Iran women's national football and futsal teams, in 2013, is considered one of the first women's football academies in Iran and has nurtured many talents for the country's women's football.[2][3]

Persepolis

[edit]

In September 2026, Setia Khodaei signed a contract with Persepolis as part of the club's policy to develop women's football, focus on youth, and build a foundation for the senior and youth teams.[1][4] She was one of five young players signed by the club, alongside Yasna Ebadi, Parmis Khabbazi, Diana Behnamfard and Parnaz Toulabi, as part of a program to identify, nurture, and support young talents in women's football and to create a foundation for the club's youth and senior teams.

Setia Khodaei has been called up to training camps of the Iran women's national under-17 team. In June 2025, Shadi Mahini, then head coach of the U-17 team, included her in the squad for the team's trial camp.[5]

In August and September 2025, Khodaei also attended the U-17 team's second and fifth preparation camps.[6] In July 2026, Mahnaz Amirshaghaghi, the new head coach of the U-17 team, invited her to the team's first trial camp.[7]
