Sefar (also spelled Séfar, Seffar, or Sifar) is a major prehistoric archaeological site located within the Tassili n'Ajjer plateau in Djanet Province, southeastern Algeria. It is one of the most important concentrations of prehistoric rock art in the Sahara and forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tassili n'Ajjer. The site is renowned for its remarkable sandstone landscape, extensive network of natural rock shelters, and thousands of prehistoric paintings and engravings documenting human life over several millennia.
