SCB X Public Company Limited (commonly known as SCBX) is a Thai financial technology and investment holding company headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand. Established in 2021 as part of a major corporate restructuring of Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), the group serves as the parent company overseeing banking operations, digital lending, venture capital, and fintech subsidiaries.
History
[edit]In September 2021, Siam Commercial Bank announced a corporate restructuring plan to transition from a traditional commercial bank into a financial technology conglomerate named SCBX. The strategy aimed to separate traditional regulated banking activities from high-growth, high-risk financial technology and digital asset businesses.[1]
In 2022, SCBX completed a share swap tender offer, exchanging shares of Siam Commercial Bank for SCBX shares at a 1:1 ratio. Following the swap, SCBX replaced Siam Commercial Bank on the Stock Exchange of Thailand under the ticker symbol "SCB" in April 2022.[2] Siam Commercial Bank then became a wholly owned subsidiary of SCBX.
Corporate structure and subsidiaries

- Banking services: Anchored by Siam Commercial Bank (SCB), providing commercial, retail, and corporate banking.
- Consumer finance and digital lending: Includes entities such as CardX (credit card and personal loan operations spun off from the bank) and AutoX (title loan business operating under the "เงินไชโย" brand), Monix is an AI-powered fintech subsidiary and joint venture of the SCBX Group and China's Abakus Group.
- Fintech and digital assets: Includes SCB 10X (venture capital and technology innovation arm), InnovestX (securities and digital asset brokerage, formerly SCB Securities), and various technology joint ventures.
Corporate governance
[edit]The company is governed by a board of directors led by executive leadership, with Arthid Nanthawithaya serving as the Chief Executive Officer since its restructuring from Siam Commercial Bank.
