Red Stage Entertainment Oy is a Finnish independent video game company based in the Old Finlayson industrial area in central Tampere, Finland [1] . The company was founded in 2017 by Marjaana Auranen, Sahin Cengiz and Ulla Leppänen.
Red Stage Entertainment specializes in narrative-driven video games. The company develops original intellectual properties and also works on co-development and work-for-hire projects. Its games are primarily developed for PC and consoles, while its business-to-business projects have also included work on a mobile game Raanaa – Shaman Girl[2]. The company's biggest success is Skábma – Snowfall[3], a video game based on Sámi storytelling traditions and culture[4].
Awards
[edit]Skábma – Snowfall Won multiple awards in 2023 for representation of Sámi people . The game won Creative Achievement of the Year at the Finnish Game Awards[5] in 2023 and in the Nordic Game Awards 2023, Skábma – Snowfall won Nordic Game of the Year and Best Art.[6]
