Okitha Dintharu is a Sri Lankan student who sat the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination while in grade 9 and obtained nine A passes, and later qualified for state university admission on the results of the 2023 Advanced Level examination.[1][2][3]
Education
[edit]Dintharu attended Prince of Wales' College, Moratuwa, and after the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination he moved to D. S. Senanayake College in Colombo.[1][2]
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he decided to sit his national examinations early. He left school while in grade 9 and sat the 2022 G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination, held in May 2023, obtaining nine A passes.[1][3][4] About four months later he sat the 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination in the physical science stream, and qualified for admission to a state university.[2][4]
He later began a computer science degree awarded by the University of Westminster, at the Informatics Institute of Technology in Colombo.[5]
Other activities
[edit]Dintharu is a co-founder of Neurobloom, an artificial intelligence and robotics startup.[5] He has completed Visharad Part II in violin, has passed the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test at N3 level, and plays badminton.[5]
