MoveInSync Technology Solutions Private Limited, doing business as MoveInSync, is an Indian enterprise software company headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka.[1][2] Founded in 2009, it develops employee transportation management software, a category of software that companies use to organize, schedule, and track the daily commuting of their staff, typically by cab, shuttle, or carpool.[1][2] Its workplace-management product line, marketed as WorkInSync, covers desk booking, meeting-room booking, parking, and visitor management for office buildings.[3]
History
[edit]Founding and early pivot (2009–2015)
[edit]MoveInSync was founded in 2009 in Bengaluru by Deepesh Agarwal, Akash Maheshwari, and Anuvrata Arora, graduates of the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi.[1][2] It initially launched a consumer carpooling service under the name RideInSync.[1] According to a 2015 account in Business Today, the founders shifted to a business-to-business model after a conversation with a Google India employee about the difficulty of coordinating transport for the company's Hyderabad staff, which they concluded pointed to a wider market among corporate employers.[1]
In August 2014, the company raised $2 million in Series A funding from Inventus Capital Partners, Saama Capital, and Qualcomm Ventures.[4]
Series B and expansion (2018)
[edit]In April 2018, MoveInSync raised $8 million in Series B funding led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from Inventus Capital Partners, Saama Capital, and Qualcomm Ventures.[5][4] At the time, the company said its clients included Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Microsoft.[5]
Workplace-management line (WorkInSync)
[edit]According to the company, it launched a workplace-management product line, WorkInSync, in response to demand from corporate clients for tools to manage office space, such as desk and meeting-room booking, as employers adopted hybrid work during the COVID-19 pandemic.[3] WorkInSync is offered as a standalone product in addition to being bundled with the commute offering.[3]
Series C funding (2024)
[edit]In January 2024, the company raised $15 million in Series C funding led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Saama Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Athera Venture Partners, and Nexus Venture Partners.[2] The company said the funds would go toward expanding its managed-fleet product, MoveInSync ONE, increasing the share of electric vehicles in client fleets, and expanding into the Philippines, South Africa, and the Middle East.[2]
Acquisition of eFmFm (2025)
[edit]In May 2025, MoveInSync acquired eFmFm, an enterprise transport technology company founded in 2012 by Satish Goel. The company described it as its first acquisition in the employee transport space.[6]
Products and services
[edit]MoveInSync's core product is a software-as-a-service platform, marketed as MoveInSync Ion, that handles scheduling, routing, tracking, and billing for corporate employee transport.[7] Functions include home-to-office cab bookings, fixed-route shuttles, intra-organization carpooling, corporate car rental, and inter-office shuttle routes.[7]
MoveInSync ONE is a managed transportation offering that combines the software platform with a vehicle fleet that the company operates for clients.[2]
WorkInSync, the company's workplace-management product, covers desk booking, meeting-room booking, parking, and visitor management for corporate offices, along with utilization analytics for facilities teams.[3]
Operations
[edit]MoveInSync is privately held. Reported figures for its client count, Fortune 500 clients, and country footprint have varied by source and date; company and press materials between 2018 and 2025 have cited enterprise client counts ranging from around 50 to more than 400.[5][2]
Total disclosed venture funding across the Series A (2014), Series B (2018), and Series C (2024) rounds has been reported at approximately $25 million to $32 million, with investors including Inventus Capital Partners, Saama Capital, Qualcomm Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, Athera Venture Partners, and Bessemer Venture Partners.[4][2]
Recognition
[edit]In 2026, MoveInSync was ranked third on the India's Fastest-Growing Companies list published by TIME in partnership with Statista, a ranking based on companies' self-reported revenue growth between the 2022 and 2025 fiscal years.[8]
