Mike Wise (born December 21, 1986) is an American professional stock car racing driver and former wakeskater who competes full-time in the NASCAR Euro Series, piloting the No. 55 Chevrolet Camaro for Club Competition in the Rookie Challenge division. He is a prominent multi-sport athlete, having previously been ranked as the World No. 1 cable wakeskater and a five-time Wakeskating National Champion before transitioning to professional motorsports.
Athletic career
[edit]Wakeskating
[edit]Born in Texas, Wise originally established his career in extreme board sports, primarily professional wakeskating and skateboarding. He relocated to Poland in 2017, joining the Polish National Team. Over his water sports career, he secured five national championships and achieved the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation's (IWWF) World No. 1 ranking in Cable Wakeskating.
Transition to Motorsports
[edit]In March 2024, Wise suffered severe knee injuries that disrupted his wakeskating career. During his recovery, he chose to transition into professional stock car racing, securing an international FIA racing license.
Wise made his competitive motorsport debut in March 2025 in the V8 Oval Series at Raceway Venray in the Netherlands, driving for Marko Stipp Motorsport. He achieved a 5th-place finish overall and won the ASCAR division.
NASCAR Euro Series
[edit]In April 2025, Wise joined the NASCAR Euro Series, initiating a unique dual-career phase where he balanced professional European motorsport with his ongoing national team wakeskating obligations. He began his campaign in the regularity-based Rookie Challenge division driving the No. 47 Steelduxx Chevrolet Camaro.
In June 2025, Wise made a significant step up by entering the EuroNASCAR OPEN division at the American SpeedFest 12 held at Brands Hatch, driving the part-time No. 25 Ford Mustang for Team Bleekemolen. He concluded his 2025 rookie season achieving multiple podium placements within his respective divisions.
For the 2026 season, Wise signed with Club Competition to pilot the No. 55 Chevrolet Camaro, setting his targets on the Rookie Challenge championship gold. Wise's racing efforts are fully funded and sponsored by the agricultural nutrient company Emerald Harvest. Wise leverages this partnership to advocate as a Crohn's disease patient, actively promoting awareness and fighting stigmas associated with his prescribed medical regimens.
