Draft:Lockheed Martin Vectis

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lockheed Martin Vectis is an uncrewed, stealthy collaborative combat aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works.[1][2][3] It is designed to act as a "loyal wingman" for manned combat aircraft such as the F-35 and F-22.[1][3][4] It is intended to aid them in missions such as airstrike; intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); electronic warfare (EW); and counter-air.[1][2][5] Vectis is currently in development, with a prototype being built, with a targeted first flight in 2027.[3][5][6] The aircraft is designed to be effective in combat theatres including the Indo-Pacific, Europe, and the area of responsibility of the United States Central Command.[1][2][3]
