Draft:Livia Drew

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  • Comment: This person does not seem to meet any of the requirements for notability in NMUSIC, and the coverage is very, very minimal, with the longest being an unsigned page on a French website of unknown notability. Plus, here's another draft that appears fully-fledged out of nowhere, as if LLM-created. Drmies (talk) 14:30, 30 September 2026 (UTC)

Livia Drew is an American singer-songwriter and pianist based in New York City. She releases music through Impakt Music.

Career

[edit]

Drew is a New York-based singer-songwriter whose work combines classical piano, jazz vocals, and electronic production. Tinnitist described her sound as a convergence of "classical piano, jazz vocals, and dark electronic production."[1]

She initially recorded under the name LIVIA, releasing the EP Oculus in 2024. The project incorporated analog experimentation and audio samples recorded on Mars by NASA's Perseverance rover.[2] Drew has performed at Rockwood Music Hall and Arlene's Grocery in New York City.

Bullet in My Heart Remix EP (2026)

[edit]

In May 2026, Drew released Bullet in My Heart, a remix EP presenting five versions of a single track: a Darkwave Mix, a Chill Mix, a Nxghtshade Remix, a Sequels Disco House Remix, and a 3am Mix. Tinnitist described the EP as "darkly beautiful" and noted that it "documents her process of finding her sound," concluding that "classical piano, jazz vocals, and dark electronic production finally converge into something that feels fully her own."[3]

Singles (2026)

[edit]

Poking Holes was released in July 2026. AnalogueTrash called it "a personal and dramatic calling card for her debut album," describing the vocals as "its emotional centre."[4] Le Future Wave described the track as "a cinematic soundscape that positions itself as unique."[5] Radio Castor wrote that Drew's "compositions resonate like soundtracks to films yet to be made."[6] Aipate described "a dark, cinematic soundscape" in which "the fragility in the singer's lyrics and vocals adds to the song's sense of theatricality."[7]

Destroy Me was released in August 2026. Le Future Wave described it as "the soundtrack to a love you know you should run from."[8] Iggy Magazine wrote that "the strength of Livia Drew lies in this fascinating duality" and described the single as "a raw and deeply organic vision of modern melancholy."[9] Laurelanne noted that "the production keeps 'Destroy Me' beautifully subdued while the emotional stakes get increasingly screwed."[10] The single received coverage from publications in France, the Netherlands, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, and the United States.

Vampyre was released in September 2026. The track is built around a toy piano motif, sweeping strings, and a waltz structure. Expansion Radial described it as "gothic dream pop between desire, fascination, and dependency."[11] Laurelanne wrote that the production "sounds like a music box somebody opened at 1 a.m. and found desire staring back."[12]
