Kino Mania is a non-profit English-language website devoted to Polish cinema. It is operated by film critic Giuseppe Sedia and publishes film reviews and material relating to Polish film history.[1]
Background
[edit]The name "Kino Mania" was previously used for a series of film-review articles written by Giuseppe Sedia for The Krakow Post.[2] According to a profile published by the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI), Sedia operates Kino Mania, which is described as a website and film archive devoted to Polish cinema.[1] The website was launched in 2021.[3]
Content
[edit]Kino Mania publishes English-language reviews of Polish films and archives material derived from Sedia's earlier work for The Krakow Post.[1][2] The website also contains material relating to Polish film-poster design and the Polish School of Posters.[4]
Recognition
[edit]Kino Mania is included as a resource on Polish cinema in the Polish Studies LibGuide published by the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).[5]
