Kerry Williamson is a writer/producer for film and TV from Belfast, Northern Ireland.[1] She's best known for her work on Highlander, Resident Evil, What Happened to Monday, Sacred Games, and Alex Cross.

Life and Career

Williamson moved to the U.S. after being awarded a full scholarship to study for a Master's in Television, Radio and Film at the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.[2] One of her first jobs in Hollywood was as Executive assistant to Andrew Davis (The Fugitive) for Collateral Damage.[3]

Williamson's feature film credits include writing Highlander.,[4] for Amazon Studios, directed by Chad Stahelski, produced by Neal Moritz and Josh Davis, starring Henry Cavill, Russell Crowe, and Karen Gillan.[5][6] In 2020, she penned the Sandman Slim screenplay, adapted from the Richad Kadrey novel, for Chad Stahelski and Studio 8.[7][8]

In 2017, she wrote and co-produced the Netflix Original What Happened to Monday?,[9][10] produced by Raffaella De Laurentiis, directed by Tommy Wirkola and starring Noomi Rapace, Glenn Close and Willem Dafoe. In 2012, she wrote Alex Cross[11][2] for Summit Entertainment starring Tyler Perry, based on the best-selling book series by James Patterson.

Her other known feature scripts include the unreleased 2013 Breaking the Bank for Darren Aronofsky , with XYZ producing for Universal[12][13][14] an unreleased 2010 Scarpetta[15][16] feature with Angelina Jolie attached,[17][17][18][19] and a 2009 feature Fork In the Road for director Alexander Payne and producer Jim Burke for Searchlight.[20]

In 2022, Williamson deveopled a reboot series of Battlestar Galactica, in collaboration with Esmail Corp and UCP/NBC/Peacock.[21] In 2022, she was a writer and Consulting Producer on the Resident Evil series for Netflix. In 2020, she was a Co-Executive Producer on Sacred Games for Netflix.[22][23][20][24]

In January of 2026, Williamson joined the Disney+ series Eragon as a writer and co-executive producer[25]
