HubX is a Turkish technology company headquartered in Izmir, with an operational office in Istanbul.[1][2] The company develops consumer software and mobile applications focused on artificial intelligence. In August 2026, it became Türkiye's eighth unicorn and the country's first application studio unicorn after securing a $75 million funding round led by Point72 Private Investments at a valuation of $1.2 billion.[3][4]

History

[edit]

HubX was established in Izmir in October 2022 by Cem Ortabaş and Kaan Ortabaş.[1] The company adopted an app studio model, building in-house teams to engineer and publish consumer applications.

In 2024, HubX was included in LinkedIn's annual Top Startups in Türkiye list.[5]

In April 2025, HubX acquired Lotus Flow, a yoga and mindfulness mobile application.[6]

In July 2025, the company expanded operations with an engineering office in Istanbul.[2]

In December 2025, HubX made a $500,000 strategic seed investment in HrPanda, an AI-powered recruitment management platform.[7]

In August 2026, the company raised up to $75 million from United States-based venture firm Point72 Private Investments, establishing HubX as a unicorn with a valuation of $1.2 billion.[3][4] The milestone was formally designated under the national Turcorn programme by the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Trade.[4]

Software and operations

[edit]

HubX develops and publishes proprietary consumer-facing software. Its primary products include the AI chatbot application Nova, the generative image tools DaVinci and Momo, and the book summary application Wiser.[1] In 2025, Wiser received the "Best Everyday Essential" recognition in Google Play's Best of 2025 awards.[8]
