Euphoria Telecom is a South African telecommunications company, based in Cape Town, that provides cloud-based business telephony, including voice over IP (VoIP) and hosted private branch exchange (PBX) services. Founded in 2010, the company operates a proprietary hosted telephony platform aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises.[1][2]

History

[edit]

Euphoria Telecom was founded in 2010 to provide cloud-based business telephony to South African companies. It positioned itself around month-to-month contracts, in contrast to the multi-year agreements common in the local market at the time, and initially wholesaled voice capacity from network operators before applying its own billing.[1]

In 2023 the company appointed Warren Hawkins, formerly of the online retailer Yuppiechef, as managing director, and Leonie Stanley as operations director.[3]

Products and services

[edit]

Euphoria supplies hosted PBX and VoIP telephony to small and medium-sized enterprises as well as larger organisations. Its platform provides call routing, interactive voice response, call recording and a web-based management system for administration and reporting, and is billed on a per-second basis.[1][2]

Reception

[edit]

In a 2026 review, the comparison site WhichVoIP scored Euphoria's service 8.3 out of 10, noting its per-second billing and locally developed platform while identifying setup fees and a three-extension minimum as drawbacks.[2]
