Draft:David Freimut

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

David Freimut (born Borislav Todorov in 1994, Silistra, Bulgaria) is a Bulgarian-born film editor and sound designer of Bulgarian-Jewish heritage.

Born into a Bulgarian-Jewish family, Freimut moved to Israel with his family at an early age, where he spent most of his childhood. He later completed his military service in the Israeli Air Force, serving as part of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Following his military service, Freimut pursued his passion for cinema and music, working on a number of independent film and audiovisual projects. In 2021, together with the Ukrainian-Bulgarian film director Tetiana Staneva, he won a competition to produce a series of eleven short documentary films for the Ukrainian public broadcaster Suspilne. Freimut was responsible for the editing and sound design of the documentary series, contributing to the films’ post-production.

His work has primarily focused on documentary filmmaking, with an emphasis on film editing, sound editing, and post-production.
