Comment: I don't think we are seeing sufficient notability. The two stories in the Echo are both interviews. The play has a reasonable spread of reviews, so that's fine, but usually we are looking for multiple plays and reviews of the different plays. Or non interview stories of the creative. So realistically this is over the halfway point but we need some more work on this to meet WP:NCREATIVE. Possibly a case of WP:TOOSOON? ChrysGalley (talk) 08:37, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
Corey Muizelaar is a British actor, playwright and filmmaker based in Sunderland. He wrote and performed in the stage play Behind Closed Doors, which appeared at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.[1][2]
Career
[edit]Muizelaar wrote Behind Closed Doors and played Jude opposite Ben Robert Cunningham as Charlie. The two-character play depicts a relationship affected by addiction, emotional abuse and mental health difficulties. Jason Marc-Williams directed the Edinburgh production.[3][4]
Reviewing the play for Theatre Weekly, Greg Stewart discussed Muizelaar's writing and performance as Jude, as well as the production's treatment of addiction and relationships.[5] Ed Boulter-Comer of All Edinburgh Theatre also assessed Muizelaar's performance, while Theatre and Tonic praised the two lead performances but suggested that some of the stage combat could be refined.[6][7]
Muizelaar has also worked on a documentary about a journey delivering aid to Ukraine. The Sunderland Echo reported on his preparations for the trip in 2025 and his return in 2026.[8][9]

It is often easier to prove the notability of a creative work than of a person. If the person is not yet notable, but their work has received multiple in-depth professional reviews, consider writing about the work instead.
