Cooper Scott Hart (born December 25, 2000), known by his stage names C$H and The Spaceman, is an American rapper and DJ, entrepreneur, and record maestro. Born and raised in Kansas, he released his debut mixtape WELCOME TO CLASS in May 2024 and has yet to release his debut studio album.

He began recording music in the mid 2010's, however, began mixing tracks at an even earlier age. He co-founded "Everyone Grows Old, EGO" as an art and entertainment community in 2023 to officially begin work on his first music projects at the time. In September 2025, Hart released his first EP, "Lost In Space" under the moniker The Spaceman, a title developed over years of DJing on-air at his college radio station, 90.7 KJHK.

Under his independent label, Hart went on to create four more independent mixtapes under the stage name C$H, Vandali (2025) with various "Type Beat" producers, TAPESTRY (2026) and "O93" (2026) utilizing his self made production, and LOST (2026) contained a split project of "Type Beats" and self made production.

This self made production continued as The Spaceman moved independent, releasing two more projects in 2025 titled "MAPS" and "further down the river". He returned in 2026 releasing "Residual" before releasing his debut beat project Headspace June 2026 under Everyone Grows Old, EGO. An EP showcasing The Spaceman as a bass player was released under EGO in July 2026 titled "O932".

In addition to his career in music, Hart founded the video game developer "Tethered Studios" in 2026.

Early Life and Education

Cooper Scott Hart was born in Chanute, Kansas, on December 25, 2000 to a Kansas Father and Californian Mother. Growing up he was raised in his family's Christian tradition. He attended Gardner Edgerton High School, in Gardner, Kansas, and graduated in 2019. In high school, he participated in several academic and business extra curriculars in addition to playing tennis. He was recognized with the Dale M. Dennis award for his pursuit of learning and graduated in the top percent of his class. Before undertaking a music career, he accepted various scholarship programs to attend The University of Kansas for Aerospace Engineering at no cost.

There he studied engineering for three years before switching majors to General Studies, broadening his coursework to supplement his passion for the arts at the time. Welcome to Class was in the works during his final year of college.

Career

2020-2023: Career Beginnings

Hart formed a house with his longtime friends who were interested in similar pursuits at the time. Adapting the TiLT clan to the house, they began a gaming crew that began playing competitively during COVID. They also began hosting several gatherings that formulated the connections and interests that fueled their passions for a broadened social life.

This expanded with the student radio, as he found himself to be a member of the music staff reviewing artists such as Action Bronson and Rema (musician) early on in his career. He created the title of DJ Spaceman in which he curated and voiced several rock and hip hop shows on-air. He was encouraged to take on the role of Programming Director at the end of his sophomore year, which then grew into the creation of the role Broadcast Engineer by the his senior year. By then he had reviewed the works of Denzel Curry, Suicideboys, and more.

Expanding his taste and skillset, Hart hosted a backyard festival show with his housemates and others titled "Bamafest" in the spring of 2022. This brought local acts to the college students and helped strengthen the hip hop scene in Lawrence. It expanded into "Bamafest II" in 2023, which saw acts from Kansas City and Washington DC brought in to perform for the local crowd.

By this time, DJ Spaceman began to perform at live events in both Lawrence and Kansas City. Everyone Grows Old, EGO was formed near the same time with others who had similar interests in the arts. EGO collaborated with other local groups to host Hip Hop/Rap and Art shows during that same time.

2024-2026 Death of EGO

During this time, Hart had taken a step back from the local scene to focus on mental health and developing his skills in music production. Following the release of his first mixtape, WELCOME TO CLASS, he left to embark on a journey suffering an episode of psychosis and was hospitalized. Later that year, he was unable to find stable living conditions and resided in the street when he was taken to the Douglas County Jail for various petty crimes, which led all major charges to be dropped. He then suffered another episode of psychosis in the beginning of 2026 following the release of his third mixtape, TAPESTRY.

This led to the rebirth of EGO, as he began to rebuild in the summer of 2026.
