Clash of Adventurers is an upcoming free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Devsland Soft, an independent studio. Built with Unreal Engine 5, it is set in a fantasy world called Lumeria and is planned for release on Steam for Windows.[1][2]
Gameplay
[edit]Clash of Adventurers is an open-world game combining player-versus-environment and player-versus-player content, set in a world called Lumeria.[1] Character classes each fill a single combat role — attack, defence or support — rather than being able to cover more than one.[1][2]
Writing for the Argentine site Escuadrón Gamers in July 2026, after several hours in a developer playtest, the reviewer Deiris described the camera and character movement as responsive and the combat as carrying the deliberate weight of classic-style MMORPGs, in which each blow feels measured. Deiris considered the single-role class design to require genuine coordination between players rather than nominal cooperation, and characterised open-world exploration as driven by curiosity about what lies beyond the next landmark.[3]
Development
[edit]Devsland Soft was described by MMORPG.com in March 2025 as a four-person studio.[1] The project originated as a 2022 prototype titled Reign of Elements and was renamed before development began under its current title in 2023.[1]
In March 2025 the studio said it was targeting a free-to-play Steam release by the end of that year. MMORPG.com described the timeline as aggressive for a team of that size, and noted the studio's acknowledgement that such a release would likely amount to a preliminary early access version.[1] The same report said the studio uses generative artificial intelligence tools to produce some user-interface artwork, which it stated is subsequently reworked by in-house artists.[1] Later that month, Massively Overpowered described the game as a free-to-play sandbox MMORPG then in pre-alpha development.[2]
A free public playtest is available on Steam.[4] By July 2026 the game was in playtest and receiving regular updates; Escuadrón Gamers reported that build 0.6.8.29, released late that month, replaced a scaling death penalty — which by around level 10 cost a player more than half a level of progress — with a flat loss of 20 per cent of the current level's experience bar.[3]
