Charlie Robert Patmore (born 29th May 2002[2]) is an English professional footballer who plays as a Goalkeeper for National League club Aldershot Town[3].

Youth career

[edit]

Patmore started his playing career, playing left midfield for local Sunday league sides including Bushey and Oxhey and Evergreen before transitioning to a goalkeeper at age 16.

Career

[edit]

Non-League

[edit]

Patmore made his non-league debut in the 2018- 2019 season at Bovingdon[4], where he made 44 appearances as goalkeeper for the reserves and first team, helping win Spartan South Midlands Division 2.

In 2019, Patmore made the move to Spartan South Midlands Division 1 side Rayners Lane[2][3], playing 14 games before the season was abandoned due the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In 2020, Patmore moved to Southern League side Hendon[3][4], and was loaned out to Edgware & Kingsbury[2], where he played 18 games in another Covid impacted season.

In 2021, Patmore returned to Combined Counties Division 1 side Rayners Lane[2][3], where he played 52 games, winning the golden glove for the league and player of the year[citation needed], with the club finishing 4th in the league. He continued at Rayners Lane for the 2022/23 season where he made 55 appearances, helping secure a playoff place and the Middlesex cup, while earning a club record 25 clean sheets, another golden glove and player of the year[citation needed].

For the 2023/2024 season, Patmore joined Isthmian South Central slide Southall[2][3], playing 20 games, culminating in a semi-final playoff. He was also loaned to Combined Counties side North Greenford United[2], where his 11 games contributed to the club's FA Vase quarter final appearance, in the clubs best ever run.

In the 2024/25 season, Patmore joined Spartan South Midlands side Cockfosters[2], where he played 35 games, delivering 18 clean sheets and only 25 goals conceded. He ended the season at National League South side Chesham United[2][3] after departing Cockfosters.

Patmore returned to Southern League side Rayners Lane[2][3] for the 2025/26 season, where he played 17 games before a double sprain injury saw Patmore sidelined for 3 months.

Bedford

[edit]

Patmore was announced at National League North club Bedford Town[3][5] in February. This move was to serve cover to at time first choice Nathan Ashmore, while also having rehab on his injury sustained.

Aldershot Town

[edit]

In June 2026, Patmore agreed to join National League club Aldershot Town[3], signing his first professional contract at 24, where he has played a number of games including pre-season and in the National League Cup[6].
