Bolaq Analysts Network is a research organization that focuses on human rights and social and political issues in Afghanistan. It has contributed information to United Nations human-rights processes concerning Afghanistan.[1]
BAN has conducted research on the situation of Hazaras in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. Its research has been covered by Afghanistan International and KabulNow. In August 2026, both publications reported on a BAN report examining conditions affecting Hazaras during the fifth year of Taliban rule.[2][3]
The organization is associated with the Hazara Genocide Archive, an online information portal documenting targeted attacks against Hazara-Shia communities in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The archive was described in the 2023 State of Truth in the World Report published by the Global Initiative for Justice, Truth and Reconciliation.[4]
BAN's research has also been preserved in institutional collections. Princeton University Library catalogs a BAN report on the situation of Hazaras during the fourth year of Taliban rule in its publicly accessible Born Digital Monographic Reports and Papers collection.[5]
On 1 September 2025, BAN collaborated with the New Lines Institute for Strategy and Policy and two United Kingdom parliamentary groups on an event at the House of Lords concerning the situation of Hazaras in Afghanistan.[6]
