BeOak is a European furniture and design brand operated by BeOak Group s.r.o., whose origins date back to 1947 under the Javorina name. The brand is internationally known as BeOak and on Czech and Slovak markets presents itself as BeOak by Javorina. The current BeOak brand emerged from a transformation initiated after Czech entrepreneur and investor Petr Rokusek, based in Liechtenstein, acquired the company in 2022..[1]
The company specializes in solid-oak furniture and combines traditional craftsmanship techniques with modern technologies such as five-axis CNC milling.
The brand develops and manufactures furniture including beds, tables, chairs, storage systems and home-office furniture. BeOak has collaborated with designers including Lucie Koldová, Tomas Kral, Vrtiška & Žák, Boris Klímek, or Leo Čellár.
History
[edit]
The manufacturing branch of BeOak was founded as Javorina in 1947 as a cooperative for folk artistic production in the Tatra region of Slovakia.
In the 1990s, the company moved towards producing modern designs, with Leo Čellár as its head designer, who also defined the future style of the brand. From the 2017 the company has began collaborating with external when introducing new CASCADE bed designed by Boris Klimek and Lenka Damová. Since then the company has been actively collaborating with other designers such as Lucie Koldova, Vrtiška & Žák, Eugenia Minerva, or Tomas Kral.
In 2022, the company was acquired by a Czech entrepreneur and investor Petr Rokůsek which later led to the development of the brand BeOak with its base in Schaan, Liechtenstein where Petr Rokůsek also resides. In 2022 he has initiated the transformation of the brand, combining modern technology with traditional joinery through new management team.[2]
In 2025, the brand has expanded into the DACH region with the opening of its store in Vienna[3] and shortly after that with its first self-service showroom in Schaan, Liechtenstein. [4]
In 2026, the brand has also opened their first showroom in the US in Bend, Oregon.[5]
Design and manufacturing
[edit]BeOak manufactures its products in its own production facilities in Spišská Belá, Slovakia, within the European Union.
The company combines traditional joinery techniques with modern technologies such as five-axis CNC milling and wood-texture scanning.
