[edit]Anthony Rutkowski was born in Detroit, Michigan, to Anthony Rutkowski and Sylvia.[2] He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Florida Institute of Technology in 1972, specializing in communications and digital systems.[3]
In 1980, he obtained a Juris Doctor from American University, focusing on international, intellectual property, administrative, and constitutional law.

From 1970 to 1975, he served as president and chairman of the Brevard County chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, engaging in civil rights litigation. [edit]Rutkowski was recognized as an "Internet Visionary" by The Washington Post in 1996.[1] He served on the advisory boards of IEEE Internet Computing, the World Wide Web Consortium[25][26]
He lectured on cybersecurity at Georgia Institute of Technology and a keynote speaker at numerous high profile events and workshops.[27] and a presenting expert at the United Nations 54th session of the Commission on Human Rights.[28]
