[edit]Anna was born in Vietnam with a congenital limb difference and was abandoned as an infant.[1] At seven months old, she was adopted by an American physical therapist from the United States.[3] Her adoptive mother raised her alongside five other adopted children with disabilities, emphasizing independent trial-and-error problem-solving during her upbringing.[1] She naturally learned to use her feet dynamically to grasp objects and navigate the physical world, predominantly relying on her right foot.[1]
