David Cosma Cristofor (born 5 February 2009) is a Romanian racing driver who currently competes in the Italian F4 Championship for Prema Racing.
Career
[edit]Karting
[edit]Cosma Cristofor started karting in 2017 and spent his domestic career with Romanian team, Real Racing. He came second in the 2018 Romanian Karting Masters – Mini ROK and won the title in 2019.[1][2][3][4] He switched to Gulstar Racing in 2021, coming second in the Andrea Margutti Trophy and winning the WSK Final Cup, all in the 60 Mini class.[5][6][7] In 2022, he came second in the Romanian Karting Masters – Junior ROK, also for Gulstar Racing.[8]
He joined Kart Republic Motorsport in 2023, where he competed in OK Junior machinery and won that years Andrea Margutti Trophy, he also came fourth in the FIA Karting World Championship.[9][10][11] Cosma Cristofor rounded off the year with a second place in the ROK Cup Superfinal – Junior ROK with Zanchi Motorsport.[12] He represented Romania in the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games in karting.[13]
Formula 4

[edit]Cosma Cristofor made his single-seater debut in the 2025 F4 Middle East Championship for AKCEL GP / PHM Racing,[14] his best result achieved was an eleventh place in the final race at Lusail International Circuit.[15]
With PHM Racing, he competed full-time in the 2025 Italian F4 Championship. He set at shock pole in the second round at Vallelunga Circuit but didn't achieve a single point in the round.[16][17][18] His first points did come shortly though, with a tenth and a ninth place in the third round at Monza Circuit.[19] The Romanian's next points came in the final round at Misano World Circuit, as he achieved the best result of his campaign with an eighth in the second race.[20]
He finished off the year in the 2025 Formula Trophy with Xcel Motorsport, getting his first ever podium at Dubai Autodrome in the first round and ended the championship in fifth position.[21][22]
2026
[edit]Cosma Cristofor signed with Prema Racing for the 2026 season and started off the year in the newly formed UAE4 Series, achieving a podium on debut.[23][24] He had a consistent season and collected and second podium in the final race of the final round at Lusail International Circuit and ended the championship in fifth.[25][26]
He contested the Italian F4 Championship for a sophomore season as well, accompanied by Prema Racing and started his campaign off at Misano World Circuit, grabbing two podiums.[27][28] At Vallelunga Circuit, he achieved a pole position and two podiums.[29][30] In the third round at Monza Circuit, he added two more podiums to his championship tally.[31][32]
