Alpinia acuminata is a monocotyledonous plant species described by Rosemary Margaret Smith.[1] Alpinia acuminata is part of the genus Alpinia and the family Zingiberaceae.[2][3]

The species' range is Papua New Guinea.[2] No subspecies are listed in the Catalog of Life.[2]
