The 2019 Stanwell attack was a lone-actor, far-right terrorist attack that occurred on March 16, 2019, in Stanwell, Surrey, United Kingdom. The perpetrator attacked one person who suffered injuries to his hand and neck.

Attack

On March 16, 2019, the assailant left his house armed with a baseball bat, shouted racist abuse, smashed the windows of passing cars, and attempted to force his way into a nearby home. After failing to gain entry, he returned home and retrieved a 12-inch kitchen knife. He then approached a supermarket car park where he stabbed 19-year-old Bulgarian national Dimitar Mihaylov through a car window (believing him to be Muslim), inflicting serious wounds to his hand and neck. Later, he was located and arrested.

The perpetrator was Vincent Fuller, born in 1969, 50 years old, with a history of theft, in 2019, joined a Nazi group and became obsessed with neo-Nazis. Later, the day after the Christchurch Mosque shootings, he became obsessed with Brenton Tarrant and posted his support on Facebook and had his manifesto on his phone. After that, his Facebook profile was banned. Fuller pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the attack, and was jailed for a minimum of 19 years in September 2019.
