Yevhen (Ukrainian: Євге́н [jeu̯ˈɦɛn] ), also romanized Evhen, is a common Ukrainian given name, the equivalent of the English Eugene. Its Old Church Slavonic form Evgenii (Евгении) came from the Greek Eugénios (Εὐγένιος), from the adjective eugenḗs (εὐγενής), literally 'well-born'.[1]
