TV Gamer was a british gaming magazine dedicated to console video games that ran for 14 issues from June 1983 to January 1985. Scans are available through the internet archive here.

Issue #1–3

[edit]

The first few issues of the magazine are set up like a TV Guide, with each issue containing a cumulative list of short reviews. These lists are based off of issue 3, dated December 1983, and sorted by listed release date.

[edit]

Games developed outside the United States are a confusing mess because dozens of companies around the world sold the same games under radically different names often intermixed with straight up clones and bootlegs. No one knows the full history of these games, or even who originally published them in many cases, so they're seperated out here.

Date Games
Summer 1983 Assault (aka Laser Loop aka Space Raider)
Great Escape (aka Time Machine)
Missile Control
Wall-Defender (aka Breakdown aka Capture)
Z-Tack (aka Orbit Base aka Skyscraper)
Autumn 1983 Jumping Jack (aka Felix Return aka Bobby is Going Home)
Surfer's Paradise: But Danger Below!
Winter 1983 Astro Attack (aka Time Warp)
Black Hole (released by Quelle and others as Galactic, a bootleg of The Challenge of Nexar)
Dream Flight (aka Nightmare aka Stuntman)
Forest
Galactic (aka Condor Attack aka Vulture Attack, released by Goliath)
Ground Zero (aka Bermuda, a bootleg of River Raid)
Labrinth (aka Phantom Tank aka Tanks but No Tanks)
Mafia (TV Gamer calls it a Missile Command clone which means they probably played Space Robot. But it was probably intended to be a bootleg of Gangster Alley)
Magic Puzzle (aka Dice Puzzle)
Astrowar
Nuts
Overkill (aka Seahawk or Sea Hawk)
Pac Kong (aka Inca Gold aka Spider Kong aka Spider Maze, not be confused with a different Pac Kong released by Quelle and a few others)
Pharoah's Curse
Save Our Ship
Sea Master (aka Sea Monster)
Skindiver (aka Scuba Diver aka Aquatak)
Space Eagle (aka Exocet)
Space Robot (aka Space Tunnel aka Cosmic Corridor, not to be confused with the Missile Command bootleg of the same name also released by Goliath and others. Isn't this fun)
Squirrel & Snail (aka Squirrel Against Snail)
Removed in Issue 2 Dishaster (aka Dancing Plate)
I Want My Mummy (aka Open Sesame)
Tanks but No Tanks (aka Phantom Tank aka Labyrinth as seen above)

The 1979 dates are almost certainly wrong here. Not sure whether it should have been 1980 or not.
