Wikipedia:WikiProject Philately/to do
Philately – this still needs extensive improvement and should be the first priority.
A list of articles needing cleanup associated with this project is available. See also the tool's wiki page and the index of WikiProjects.
Articles are needed for numerous countries and issuers. For progress to date, see :
- List of entities that have issued postage stamps (A – E)
- List of entities that have issued postage stamps (F – L)
- List of entities that have issued postage stamps (M – Z)
- List of postal services abroad
- category:Compendium of postage stamp issuers
- category:Postage stamps by country
- category:Postal history by country
The previous Philately collaboration was Aerophilately .
- Has anyone any interest in philatelic collaborations of any kind?
- Postal history had a major rewrite; it would be great to improve it to at least a Good Article or even a Featured Article. Can you help?
Miscellaneous Articles Needed
- many redlinks need writing in the List of philatelic topics
- anything re Wilding Series of QE2 definitives.
- a set of new articles is being created as part of the British Library editathon (see list on that page) to cover the most notable collections of the British Library Philatelic Collections. Particular help is needed with reliable sources, copy editing and further improvement suggestions.
- Post & Go stamps
Categories
- A full review of the project categories is taking place at present. If you can help with the review and can recategorise any "stray" articles that need it, that would be a great help. Please put your ideas and suggestions on the discussion page. To see how the categories operate at present, see the root category:Philately and the sub-categories that it controls.
