Naming conventions

[edit]

Categories

[edit]

I think we should name all the subcategories the same. They should be in either this format:

Landmarks of Philadelphia
Media in Philadelphia
Neighborhoods of Philadelphia
Organizations in Philadelphia

or this format

Philadelphia Landmarks
Philadelphia Media
Philadelphia neighborhoods
Philadelphia organizations

and not mixed. South Philly 02:02, 3 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neighborhoods
I suggest that every page listed on List of Philadelphia neighborhoods have the article name formatted as "Neighborhood, Philadelphia" and not "Neighborhood, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania". There is little confusion between our Philadelphia and the others. Ours is the "original" and most notable by a large margin and it only serves to confuse things by adding the state to every page name. If there is confusion the other cities we can add the state to the article name. I think we should also create redirect pages from the names without the added ", Philadelphia" to make it easier to find these pages. Short names are generally better. -- Austin Murphy (talk) 20:35, 19 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
