— Librettists of the Month focuses on improving opera librettists' biographies and articles relating to their works. —

The Librettists of the Month for May are Lorenzo da Ponte (1749 - 1838) and Eugène Scribe (1791 – 1861).

Lorenzo da Ponte, the librettist of some of Mozart's greatest operas, is in need of expansion and better referencing based on modern scholarly sources

Eugène Scribe, who wrote the libretti for operas by Meyerbeer, Halévy, Donizetti and Verdi, needs explansion and is currently completely unreferenced
