The article in question was last deleted in late 2019 and almost immediately recreated. Is the subject's notability "proven" now? You decide.

• Delete. Based upon her citation, with an h-factor of 20 and 966 cites she is not close to a pass of WP:NPROF as I see no notable academic awards. For her artwork, the first source is a commercial page where it can be sold, the second an advert for a showing. No pass of NCREATIVE there. I see no evidence for strong reviews of her poetry. I created this article in 2013 with the intention of supporting the subject. However, after reviewing the article again, I believe it may not meet Wikipedia’s requirements for a neutral biography.

The article appears to rely mainly on award announcements and sources connected to the subject, rather than substantial independent coverage such as articles, books, or other reliable publications discussing the subject in depth. I also have concerns that the page has been influenced by the subject or by people connected to the subject, which raises concerns about neutrality and conflict of interest.

Notability isn't established for this particular piece. The sources essentially prove existence. The sources from the US gov't sites are the catalog information from their collection. The JHMI is the artist's biography on another site and the painting is mentioned as one of his works. The "featured in many articles" is fairly irrelevant; it's not actually "featured"; it's a public domain image used to illustrate the subject. THere is no critical discussion of the painting, just captions giving it credit. Google search shows the same -- US gov't sites, the artist's bios, and captions for where it's used.   I think it's possibly not actually public domain either. Not every painting owned by the government is public domain, only if the painter is a government officer or employee or if the rights are signed over. My understanding is that a painting privately commissioned and donated or painted on contract for the government won't be public domain unless the rights are specifically transferred. The article is Brunswick Star https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brunswick_star. It has two references but neither even uses the term Brunswick Star.

The reference desk editors tried to find sources to improve this and could not. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Archives/Humanities/2026_July_1#Brunswick_star

Notably, they also couldn't find the term used in published heraldry books.

So possibly this is not a real term and the article should be deleted?

I propose merging to County Meath because the article has existed since 2007, and could easily be a section titled "symbols" or something. No need for full article currently (maybe a list of coat of arms of irish counties could be made! While I'm inclined to support a merge/redirect somewhere (as the text is relatively short, has been for a long time, and could likely be covered with improved context in the article on the place the arms represent), I'm not sure the proposed target is ideal. Can the nom elaborate more on the proposed target? What would a "symbols" section in the County Meath article look like? And, perhaps, would Kingdom of Meath not be a better place for such a section (and redirect target)? I say this for several reasons. Not least that the coat of arms given in the infobox for County Meath is the arms of the county council, which is different to the historic arms (and trying to cover both in the article on the modern county could be confusing/complicating)?... To get an example; Roxburghshire has a Coat of Arms section, which I imagine this would look similar to

  Hi. While we could perhaps briefly discuss the arms in a "symbols" section of both County Meath and Kingdom of Meath, the redirect (resulting from a merge/redirect) can only be to one title. Personally, as above, I think Kingdom of Meath is a more appropriate target. And, as it stands, don't support a merge/redirect to County Meath. But would support a merge/redirect to Kingdom of Meath. (For the simple reason that the subject arms are not (or are no longer) the arms of County Meath. But are the historical arms of the Kingdom of Meath.) Guliolopez (talk) 12:51, 27 July 2026 (UTC)

This article has a rather peculiar history. It was written 20 years ago, partly in the first person plural but referring to Chris Taylor, who might perhaps be associated with the similarly-named author, in the third person. It was kept after the AfD linked here, but I'm not sure it should have been. The "independent" sources mentioned are mostly not independent, since several were written by Taylor, the cofounder. The fullest actually independent source is this article, which discusses the program as one of several similar. It is written more as an advertisement then anything else. I don't think the program is significant enough to merge to Texas Tech University, and it is not an obvious redirect candidate, since it was previously associated with other universities. It is possible that a complete rewrite could salvage it, but I think the sources available that are not written by Taylor would yield a stub, and it certainly shouldn't stand as it is. All coverage of her is about her involvement in Twelve Forever. All sources that are not about that show do not have enough WP:SIGCOV, such as [8][9][10][11][12]. Her work in other projects (directing/writting a few cartoon episodes here or there, etc.) is too marginal to help her notability. The music video for Bubblegum Dog she co-directed is not notable by itself, the sources do no provide any independent analysis of it, only statements by Vickerman and her coworker; the song appears to be notable, but that can only help the notability of the musicians who made it (WP:BAND), not the co-directors of a music video it got.

This article was sensibly a redirect to Twelve Forever for four years, but now the redirect was undone and the page immediately became a magnet for people who want to WP:RGW by using unreliable sources to boost iffy rumors [13][14]. V. S. Video (talk) 20:03, 9 July 2026 (UTC)

Hmm, you make a good point about the article. I don't usually say that in AfD discussions, so this is a bit rare. I was going to say "weak keep" but I'm going to vote to redirect the Julia Vickerman article to Twelve Forever, as that is her biggest project to date. It sounds like you are favoring a redirect. And if a redirect is done, I would say that any relevant articles and content should be added to Twelve Forever, so as to update that article.

Otherwise, you are entirely right about some people trying to add "unreliable sources to boost iffy rumors" as I've been trying to address that on the talk page. People already have tried to add those kind of sources to Twelve Forever page for years and as such I've been dealing with that for a while as evidenced by the talk page with recent comments this year particularly by the user who created the Vickerman article and the archive page, covering 2020-2024. There was even a discussion years ago on the Biographies of living persons Noticeboard back in 2021 as well.

I'm not sure Vickerman is known for much more than Twelve Forever (a search on Google News I did for "Julia Vickerman" pulled up 13 sources, most of which are reliable, and are almost exclusively about Twelve Forever, to give an example). Even so, I do think a redirect is the way to go at this point, if only to benefit users who may be looking up about Twelve Forever on here. A search on Google Scholar for "julia vickerman" only pulls up three results: a page in the book "Batman: the Animated Series" (By Joe Sutliff Sanders) where she is quoted as talking about an episode in that series, a page in a Spanish-language thesis (cannot find the page) and another source listed on Google Scholar as "[CITATION] As Meninas Superpoderosas [Seriado]." I also searched on Wikipedia Library and only found three results: the "How The Bravest Knight is turning the tide for LGBTQ kids programming" article in EW (already in the article), the "A Deeper Reboot" article in Animation Magazine (already in the article), and an article in People entitled "Ricki Lake Posts Photos of New Rescue Pup Following Death of Beloved Dog Mama: 'She Is Perfect'" which barely mentions her at all.In solidarity - Historyday01 (talk) 23:25, 9 July 2026 (UTC)

• Keep, she has worked on many projects and television shows, so her notability doesn't focus on one show that she both created and was fired from. Delete. The current sourcing is abysmal, and I couldn't find much coverage of him. The only review of the book he wrote is this entry from Reader's Favorite, a website that states that it "only post 4 and 5 star reviews". Probably not worthy any longer (if ever). 15 years ago, the Nate Banks series sold around 150,000 copies, and Sam Raimi wanted to buy the movie rights. Today, they're out of print and I'd be lucky to get 50 cents for the rights.

I am nominating this article for deletion as the subject does not appear to meet WP:GNG or the subject-specific notability guideline WP:NPOL.

The subject is an unelected candidate. He ran an unsuccessful write-in campaign for Minnesota's 3rd congressional district in 2024 and is a declared 2026 candidate for Hennepin County Commissioner. Per WP:NPOL, candidates for office are not inherently notable, and holding no elected office, the subject does not meet that guideline. The candidacy also invokes WP:TOOSOON. Campaign-related coverage does not count toward general notability under WP:ROUTINE and the "candidate" provisions of WP:POLOUTCOMES.

• Keep Notability is permanent: Anthony Walsh was already notable as athlete, author, and coach, by 2023, according to multiple reliable, independent sources -- long before he became first noted as write-in candidate for office, in 2024, by Star Tribune. (An award-winning book series author, Mr. Walsh remains notable in 2026 as a candidate who's on the immediately upcoming August 11 ballot, with early primary voting currently underway in Hennepin County.) By 2022, Mr. Walsh had been featured as alumni of note by Zephyrus, the Edina High School newspaper. Of course, ten years earlier Walsh had already been the title subject of a 2013 Star Tribune profile, and in 2023 again Walsh was the subject of a Star Tribune youth sports feature.   @The Hammer of Thor: A few points:

  • WP:NTEMP means notability isn't lost once established, but it doesn't establish it. The argument here presumes Walsh was notable by 2023 and then treats everything since as a "notch," which assumes the question at issue.
  • Trivial coverage doesn't aggregate. WP:BASIC permits combining multiple independent sources, but trivial coverage from the combination may not be sufficient. Passing mentions don't stack into SIGCOV regardless of the venue's prestige — the NHL.com item being "short, but impressive ink" is the problem here.
  • "Award-winning" doesn't get there. WP:NBOOK #3 requires a major literary award; WP:ANYBIO requires a well-known and significant award or honor, or several nominations for one. The PPGJLI Children's Book of the Year is a small regional nonprofit's award with no independent coverage of the award itself. Neither criterion is met.
  • "Being a county commissioner candidate is merely another notch added onto an already notable person's lengthy career" reads to me as conceding that the candidacy doesn't satisfy WP:NPOL, which is the nomination's starting point.

Insight News is a valid review and I’d count it, but that leaves one review when NBOOK clearly requires two. If the book doesn’t pass NBOOK, merging the bio into it isn’t available as an ATD. @Spartaz: A redirect to the election article is a reasonable ATD and I'd support it over keep. One caveat: my understanding is that target fits best when the candidacy is the primary reason for the search term, whereas much of the article (and the keep arguments) rests on Walsh's earlier hockey and writing history. But since that pre-campaign coverage doesn't add up to notability (which is the nomination's basis) I don't think it's strong enough to make the redirect a poor fit. If it's redirected, I'd suggest a clean redirect rather than a merge, so the promotional campaign content and biographical detail don't carry into the election article.   @JoelleJay The sources I'm counting are the 2013 Star Tribune profile, the 2023 Star Tribune feature on Walsh's authorship and community work, the '23 The Rink Live feature on his books, coaching and advocacy.   Thanks, @Accesscrawl. Since the subject's parents work as reporters/editors for the Star Tribune those pieces are not independent. The Southwest Voices article only has about three sentences on him, the rest are quoting his campaign (and we typically discount local election profiles for NPOL anyway).   @Accesscrawl: in the context of the 2023 story, I think that it could be material that his parents work at the newspaper. "Eye on St. Paul," which is the series that the interview with Walsh appears in, is just a regular column that has human interest stories with people in the community. The author of the series clarifies here that the column is about "writ[ing] positive stories about St. Paul." Given that his parents work at the paper, as the piece acknowledges, I think there is reason to be skeptical that the decision to interview Walsh for what amounts to a fluff piece was made with true independence.
