Since biographies are potentially under the purview of almost all WikiProjects, it is important that we work in tandem with these projects. Also, when seeking collaboration on articles, don't neglect to approach WikiProjects that are part of the geographical region your subject is/was in.
Increase the exposure of our work group by nominating our articles for their Portal FA and DYKs... Specific discipline portals are listed in that section.

Directions for expanding any division below
[edit]The general outline and collection has been started, but if you would like to expand and organize a discipline, here's what you do. Right below the page heading for the discipline insert this: {{subst:Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Work groups/Division banner}} and save. This will put a rough outline together for you and then you can edit it to conform to your area. See Writers and critics below for an example. If your project grows large enough where it's taking up a good portion of this page, you should probably move it to a subpage of this page.
You might also want to make a Members section for people to join your specific area!
Tagging articles
[edit]Any article related to this work group should be marked by adding |a&e-work-group=yes to the {{WPBiography}} project banner at the top of its talk page. This will automatically place it into Category:Arts and entertainment work group articles. Articles can be assessed for priority within this work group by using the |a&e-priority= parameter. See Template:WikiProject Biography/doc for detailed instructions on how to use the banner.

Visual arts[edit]AfDs for this article:
The article in question was last deleted in late 2019 and almost immediately recreated. Is the subject's notability "proven" now? You decide.
Reason Boltonart (talk) 22:54, 27 July 2026 (UTC) I created this article in 2013 with the intention of supporting the subject. However, after reviewing the article again, I believe it may not meet Wikipedia’s requirements for a neutral biography. The article appears to rely mainly on award announcements and sources connected to the subject, rather than substantial independent coverage such as articles, books, or other reliable publications discussing the subject in depth. I also have concerns that the page has been influenced by the subject or by people connected to the subject, which raises concerns about neutrality and conflict of interest. For these reasons, I believe the article should be reviewed for deletion. Boltonart (talk) 22:54, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
Notability isn't established for this particular piece. The sources essentially prove existence. The sources from the US gov't sites are the catalog information from their collection. The JHMI is the artist's biography on another site and the painting is mentioned as one of his works. The "featured in many articles" is fairly irrelevant; it's not actually "featured"; it's a public domain image used to illustrate the subject. THere is no critical discussion of the painting, just captions giving it credit. Google search shows the same -- US gov't sites, the artist's bios, and captions for where it's used. Performing WP:AFD2 for a WP:TA requested at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion/Archive 80 § No sources for the name "Brunswick Star": FaviFake (talk) 13:57, 26 July 2026 (UTC)
I propose merging to County Meath because the article has existed since 2007, and could easily be a section titled "symbols" or something. No need for full article currently (maybe a list of coat of arms of irish counties could be made! I'd be willing to help, but dunno if thats too relevant) Froglord (Finnfrog99) (talk) 21:58, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
I propose delete because Victor Orly and this article are the same entity just using many Wikipedia articles to promote their brand. Even the part where it says "managed by Guennadi Grebniov" turned out to be Victor Orly. Violates enough WP policies including GNG and NOPROMO. ABehjat (talk) 01:16, 24 July 2026 (UTC)
AfDs for this article:
This article has a rather peculiar history. It was written 20 years ago, partly in the first person plural but referring to Chris Taylor, who might perhaps be associated with the similarly-named author, in the third person. It was kept after the AfD linked here, but I'm not sure it should have been. The "independent" sources mentioned are mostly not independent, since several were written by Taylor, the cofounder. The fullest actually independent source is this article, which discusses the program as one of several similar. It is written more as an advertisement then anything else. I don't think the program is significant enough to merge to Texas Tech University, and it is not an obvious redirect candidate, since it was previously associated with other universities. It is possible that a complete rewrite could salvage it, but I think the sources available that are not written by Taylor would yield a stub, and it certainly shouldn't stand as it is. I think deletion is the best solution. blameless 05:14, 23 July 2026 (UTC)
All coverage of her is about her involvement in Twelve Forever. All sources that are not about that show do not have enough WP:SIGCOV, such as [8][9][10][11][12]. Her work in other projects (directing/writting a few cartoon episodes here or there, etc.) is too marginal to help her notability. The music video for Bubblegum Dog she co-directed is not notable by itself, the sources do no provide any independent analysis of it, only statements by Vickerman and her coworker; the song appears to be notable, but that can only help the notability of the musicians who made it (WP:BAND), not the co-directors of a music video it got. This article was sensibly a redirect to Twelve Forever for four years, but now the redirect was undone and the page immediately became a magnet for people who want to WP:RGW by using unreliable sources to boost iffy rumors [13][14]. Filing on behalf of a TA who requested it at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion#AfD rationale for Paulo Andrez and at Talk:Paulo Andrez#AfD rationale. This filing is not an endorsement of the nomination, rationale, the account, or anything else. The current version of the article is too promotional and reads like an advertisement. Almost all of the cited sources are primary sources or guest posts or similar. Some of the links are of the events he attended. His book was self-published by Forbes Books and has no critical reviews. At this stage, it appears to me a case of self-promotion. Fails WP:NAUTHOR HerrHeulsuse (talk) 16:05, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
Fails WP:GNG, WP:NAUTHOR, WP:NACADEMIC. citations are self-published (own companies, own byline) and commercial retailer listings for her self-published books, with no independent reviews. No academic notability demonstrated. Lone Wolf howl 08:28, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
AfDs for this article:
The article in question was last deleted in late 2019 and almost immediately recreated. Is the subject's notability "proven" now? You decide.
Fails the WP:GNG. No in-depth significant coverage of the subject. Article looks to have been extensively edited by an SPA. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 02:39, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
Fails WP:GNG and WP:NBIO. Has placed some op-eds, but is a mid-level political appointee and roving spokeman in U.S. politics. Provides cookie cutter quotes to news media on behalf of his clients. Lacks the WP:SIGCOV or impact to establish notability. Longhornsg (talk) 22:52, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
I am finding very little about this academic and nothing that would indicate that they are likely to make WP:NPROF. If more sources are found, please ping me. Mariamnei ✦ reach out 🕊️ 13:59, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
Appears to fail WP:GNG. cannot find significant coverage in reliable sources. Popcornfud (talk) 05:49, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
Per WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE and per this discussion on the talkpage. I myself am neutral in the discussion. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:00, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
Fails WP:GNG. Sources are entirely self-published (SSRN/OSF/Zenodo preprints, subject's own org and ORCID pages) and promotional (university student blog, interview). No independent, reliable coverage establishes notability. Reads as self-promotional. Lone Wolf howl 18:47, 26 July 2026 (UTC)
Declined draft at AFC. See Draft:Anu Shah. Does not meet the requirements of WP:GNG The coverages are mostly routine including interviews, press releases, sponsored contents. There is no significant in-depth coverage required meeting notability standards. Thilsebatti (talk) 02:29, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
This article only cites primary sources, this means that it does not meet the general notability guideline. Additionally, few secondary sources appear via a quick Google search per WP:BEFORE. Qwerty123M (talk) 08:14, 24 July 2026 (UTC)
Article lacking in-depth secondary source coverage to meet WP:NBIO. Yousiphh (talk) 15:40, 23 July 2026 (UTC)
Marked for notability concerns since 2020. Fails WP:JOURNALIST and WP:AUTHOR. Sources merely confirm she has written something rather than significant coverage. LibStar (talk) 04:17, 22 July 2026 (UTC)
The subject's channel is incredibly small, and does appear to surpass the notability threshold LincolnMagnus (talk) 23:31, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
Entirely primary and BEFORE shows nothing but. Jerod Lycett (talk) 09:31, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
AfDs for this article:
Procedural nomination: declined WP:PROD due to previous AFD. Original nomination by ~2026-40387-95, with rationale: "notability––her only listed prizes are college ones, she is not mentioned in any major source, nor is she behind any major conceptual innovation. Her body of literary work does not meet the standards of notability; all of this information is available on her website, and those interested in her work will find her there." — Chris Woodrich (talk) 00:38, 21 July 2026 (UTC)
No indication that the person meets any of the specific criteria for WP:NJOURNALIST, fails WP:GNG as well. - The9Man Talk 08:55, 20 July 2026 (UTC)
Non-notable author. Fails WP:GNG. BookishReader (talk) 13:38, 18 July 2026 (UTC)
At present, I do not think Bell meets WP:NAUTHOR. I have done a general Google search, but the common name makes it more difficult to find accurate sources. However, I have searched for Bell on Kirkus Reviews, Publishers Weekly, Booklist, and School Library Journal to no avail. Additionally, a Google search of the Amazing Adventures of Nate Banks came up empty. Please ping me if adequate coverage is found. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 03:39, 18 July 2026 (UTC)
I am nominating this article for deletion as the subject does not appear to meet WP:GNG or the subject-specific notability guideline WP:NPOL. The subject is an unelected candidate. He ran an unsuccessful write-in campaign for Minnesota's 3rd congressional district in 2024 and is a declared 2026 candidate for Hennepin County Commissioner. Per WP:NPOL, candidates for office are not inherently notable, and holding no elected office, the subject does not meet that guideline. The candidacy also invokes WP:TOOSOON. Campaign-related coverage does not count toward general notability under WP:ROUTINE and the "candidate" provisions of WP:POLOUTCOMES. Setting the candidacy aside, notability would need to rest on significant coverage in multiple independent, reliable sources. In this case, the cited sources are low quality: the subject's own campaign website, a high school student newspaper, passing mentions in legitimate sources such as the Star Tribune's 2024 article and the NHL.com article. The article's depth of personal biographical detail, promotional framing, and reliance on the subject's own campaign material suggest a possible conflict of interest (WP:COI/WP:AUTOBIO). I raise this as context rather than as a deletion rationale in itself; the notability failure above is the basis for the nomination. Dode222 (talk) 23:47, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
