Welcome to WikiProject Squatting!

Feel free to get involved no matter whether you are a beginner or an experienced editor. The goal is to improve Wikipedia's coverage of squatting - defined broadly as the occupation without legal right of abandoned or unoccupied buildings or land. It has been estimated that there are one billion squatters worldwide, that is to say roughly one in every seven human beings. This project covers all articles about squats, that is to say individual projects and country overviews plus the legal and cultural aspects.
