Firefox warns me when closing multiple tabs

[edit]

Settings/Options/General/"Warn you when closing multiple tabs" is unticked.

Firefox still warns me when closing multiple tabs "to the right".

Why?

Thanks. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:26, 13 September 2017 (UTC)reply

If you just changed that setting, you may have to restart Firefox or even the computer for it to take effect. StuRat (talk) 00:25, 14 September 2017 (UTC)reply
Hi StuRat. Actually, it never worked, or at least I could never get it to work, for ages. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:14, 14 September 2017 (UTC)reply
I think that setting only affects whether you get a warning when you're closing a window (either though X in the corner or through Alt+F4) that has more than one tab open. However, there seems to be a hidden toggle for what you want to do if you enter "about:config" in the address bar (link). No longer a penguin (talk) 12:36, 14 September 2017 (UTC)reply
