Wikipedia:Meetup/Columbus/Wikipedia Connection Workshops

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Weekly Workshops

Throughout the academic semester, Wikipedia Connection hosts a weekly workshop on Ohio State University's campus for students, staff, and anyone else interested in coming together to discuss and edit Wikipedia. Each workshop usually begins with an introduction and short lesson about an aspect of Wikipedia (e.g. defining notability, what makes a source reliable, using images, etc.). Participants then start editing articles that interest them, and are encouraged to focus on the lesson matter. Experienced editors are available to answer questions, help make edits, and point editors in the right direction as needed. Food and drink is provided.

In the near future, we may start hosting workshops that focus on editing certain subject areas.
