Wikipedia:GLAM/KAUST

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) Wikimedia Learning Events.
The University Library in KAUST sponsors learning events to support members of the KAUST community who are interested in working with Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects.

Goals

• Bring together people of varying degrees of experience contributing to Wikimedia projects to support and guide each other.
• Develop network of people in the KAUST community with confidence and skills to contribute to Wikimedia projects.

Topics

• Our first events are focused on helping people with general Wikipedia skills, but time will also be set aside for participants to work in groups interested in specific topics. Possible topics include birds of Saudi Arabia, historic sites of Saudi Arabia, institutional and researcher information, public monuments and sculptures in Saudi Arabia, and the Red Sea. During event registration participants can also suggest other topics and the organizers will use the responses to confirm what topics to focus on during the sessions.
