@VKG1985: Non-free files are only allowed in main space articles per our non-free content guidelines, this file can be uploaded if the article is accepted. You used PD-author in your request, if you are the author, then you would seem to have a conflict of interest and should disclose accordingly on your user page. You should follow the instructions at OTRS to release the image under a free license if you are the author or copyright holder. If you are paid to edit, you should disclose paid contributions, not doing so is a violation of the Wikimedia Terms of Use and are grounds for being blocked from editing. Dylsss^{(talk contribs)} 16:17, 11 December 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, Dylsss. Ok, once the article is uploaded then only will ask to upload this poster. I am not much aware of PD-author & also not the author of the image.

I am new to this Wiki commons for images. Next time will read all the things & try to upload the appropriate file. That's the reason, first I have asked this time whether the file is eligible for upload or not.

Article To Be Used On/Reason For Upload: The current photo of the Reservoir on Wikipedia is not only unattractive, it is also unidentifiable. The photo is of a rather generic body of water that makes it difficult for readers to differentiate as the otherwise very well known Glenmore Reservoir. The quality of the existing photo also suggests that it is several years old. I live on the Reservoir and take beautiful photos of it all the time - such a beautiful setting deserves to be properly represented on this platform.

Vectorworks logo

Latest comment: 5 years ago2 comments2 people in discussion

This upload request has been accepted. Please do not modify it.

This request for upload has been reviewed. The reviewer comments appear below the submission text.

Non-free media information and use rationale – non-free logo true for Vectorworks
Description	This is the logo owned by Vectorworks for Vectorworks.
Source	The logo is from Archinect's website: https://archinect.imgix.net/uploads/4x/4xytb8yj6haqwcgf.png?fit=fill&bg=FFFFFF&auto=compress%2Cformat&w=158&h=158 The logo is also available from Vectorworks' website but all instances on their website are white with transparent backgrounds. This link provides a black on white background version.
Article	Vectorworks
Portion used	The entire logo is used to convey the meaning intended and avoid tarnishing or misrepresenting the intended image.
Low resolution?	The logo is of a size and resolution sufficient to maintain the quality intended by the company or organization, without being unnecessarily high resolution.
Purpose of use	The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing Vectorworks, a subject of public interest. The significance of the logo is to help the reader identify the organization, assure the readers that they have reached the right article containing critical commentary about the organization, and illustrate the organization's intended branding message in a way that words alone could not convey.
Replaceable?	Because it is a non-free logo, there is almost certainly no free representation. Any substitute that is not a derivative work would fail to convey the meaning intended, would tarnish or misrepresent its image, or would fail its purpose of identification or commentary.
Other information	Use of the logo in the article complies with Wikipedia non-free content policy, logo guidelines, and fair use under United States copyright law as described above.

Comment: Hi! @The.thales, and thank you for your request. However, .zip files are not compatible for Wikipedia. I suppose the Snipping Tool could be used to turn this into a .jpg, but that may complicate things. Please do your best to provide one of the following: png, gif, jpg, jpeg, xcf, pdf, mid, ogg, ogv, svg, djvu, tiff, tif, oga. Thank you! Dswitz10734 (talk) 02:39, 29 November 2020 (UTC)

COMMENT:

65.92.244.236, please provide a URL that is not youtube. Dswitz10734 (talk) 22:09, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

Comment: It is a screenshot, what's wrong with the image provided by the uploader at YouTube, since the screencapture was created by that Youtube User? (I am not asking for the video to be uploaded; just the still image) ; "Teletoon Canada" is a cable TV network, the ultimate source of the screenshot, a capture of a TV feed from cable TV. -- 65.92.244.147 (talk) 06:03, 17 November 2020 (UTC)

Comment: Are you a cable TV subscriber from Canada, who has a subscription to Teletoon Canada? Then you can access your cable TV provider's live-feed (not on-demand) web access website, and watch from the beginning of a particular TV show that uses Described Video to screencap Teletoon Canada's advisory notice that precedes the TV show, otherwise, it's all someone's screencaps, which is the same as using the screencap that that Caleb person uploaded to Youtube along with the video that guy uploaded. (the preview image is selectable by the person who uploads the video, thus captured/generated by that Caleb person) -- 65.92.244.147 (talk) 06:22, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
